According to a report by Graphic Online, the Amasaman High Court has revised the prison sentence of controversial televangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, reducing her original 15-year jail term to just 12 calendar months.
While this report from GBC Ghana Online states, the ruling was delivered on Thursday, February 5, 2026, during the hearing of her appeal against the earlier sentence. The High Court upheld her conviction but found that the 15-year term imposed by the trial court was harsh and disproportionate.
Graphic Online confirms that under the revised sentence, Agradaa will serve a one-year custodial term starting from the date of her conviction on July 3, 2025.
As reported by MyJoy Online, the case has drawn significant public attention since her original sentencing for charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretences, prompting debates about judicial fairness and sentencing standards.
Agradaa remains in custody under the new order as legal processes continue.
