Accuracy and verification
Writers should verify names, dates, quotations, statistics, and material claims before publication. Where first-hand reporting is not possible, reports should rely on identifiable and credible primary or reputable secondary sources and make the source clear to readers.
Original value and attribution
We do not knowingly publish plagiarised or scraped work. Reporting based on another publication must be attributed and should add useful context, explanation, verification, or a locally relevant perspective. Quotations and images must be used with appropriate permission or lawful justification.
News, analysis, and opinion
Opinion should be labelled and should not be presented as straight news. Headlines must fairly represent the article and must not make claims the story does not support. Sponsored material, if published, will be clearly labelled.
Corrections and updates
We correct material factual errors promptly and transparently. Minor spelling or formatting fixes may be made without a note; substantial corrections should be explained in the article. Send correction requests to support@philosian.org with the story URL and supporting evidence.
Contributor review
Contributor submissions are reviewed before publication. Approval may be withheld when a submission is too thin, unverifiable, duplicative, promotional, misleading, or inconsistent with these standards.
